Finding a book written for young people that takes in the scope of World History is not an easy task! I searched and searched and searched. I had decided on a couple of different titles, but wasn't completely satisfied with any of them. And then, this title popped up when I was looking for something else. And it was just what I was looking for. This isn't a beginner's book -- it will probably best serve a student who has gone through the stories of the nations individually. This book will then tie it all together and be a strong review. I opened the book with an insightful essay I found on why we study history and how to teach it to our children.
